Internal Data

Lucy Kelly

Internal data (also called first party data) is your own collected data within your internal systems. Internal data is generated through internal processes, customer activity, and any machines that generate data. The creation of internal data may happen "accidentally" as a side product of business activity processed through software, or intentionally by setting up process data mining systems or other event tracking tools.

Internal data may be enriched with external data in order to generate more insights and build more accurate predictions.
