Description

Meteomatics accurate wind energy forecasts help operators and energy traders, maximize operational efficiency and gain competitive advantage in the energy trading market. By ingesting high-quality weather & satellite data from leading centers, such as ECMWF, UK Met Office EUMETSAT & many others.
Meteomatics' advanced and robust interpolation techniques process raw data inputs to create world leading wind energy forecasts. In addition, Meteomatics derive wind speed and direction, as well as air density at hub height above ground (continuous range from 10m to 200m), applying topographical downscaling with high density model level information and a 90m digital elevation model. Meteomatics holds a database containing details of most known turbine manufacturers and their specifications, to ensure Meteomatics API provides very accurate wind energy forecasts, anywhere on the planet. Meteomatics is also a leading provider of portfolio-specific wind energy forecasts. Meteomatics combines customers' historical observations and several premium weather models, to create power forecasts that are optimized down to a single turbine or to aggregations. Meteomatics can also take into account real-time measurements, differing availabilities, maintenance schedules, night reductions and additional specific site requirements.
