“I've used Bloomberg for several decades in my work in various investment banks and as a freelance market analyst. It is the industry standard. It has virtually every indicator or data series you could want on any conceivable market, and if it doesn't have the data, you can ask them for it and often they'll add it. You can easily download the data into an Excel spreadsheet or use their graphs (which I don't think are really up to industry standards - other companies such as Macrobond have much better graphing systems). The customer service is top-notch: they have real market experts who will spend hours on the phone with you if necessary. There is also news on every conceivable topic with an excellent if somewhat complicated search function. However it is very expensive - prohibitively expensive for an individual (around $2,700 a month in 2023, as far as I know). ”
