The number of active satellites has grown massively since they were first introduced to our planet’s orbit in 1957.

Overall, there are more than 2,000 active satellites in the orbit at the moment. Many of these collect valuable data that helps us to monitor our crops, plan our infrastructure, and respond to natural catastrophes.
