Data Sources & Collection
CustomWeather utilizes extremely localized terrain and transpiration data. We work with large networks of local weather stations including the MADIS network of cooperative weather stations. CustomWeather runs a proprietary high resolution forecast model, the USL model, at 100-meter resolution worldwide. The USL model is initialized off an ensemble of NWP models including the GFS, NAM, HRRR, SREF, Gridded MOS, GDPS, and WRF.
Key Differentiators
CustomWeather provides weather data in over 85 languages. Our historic data is the most comprehensive and includes data dating back further into the past than other providers. We are the only weather data provider with a Cloud Weather Service. This allows our users to make very specific request for data, including uncommon and harder to find variables, for dates back in time, for any point on the globe.
